Sooooooooo, it's finally here! I just want to thank everyone who sent in stuff for this issue! I had a lot of fun putting it together and I hope it meets your expectations! I would love to continue doing this if people want to do it again......if I can't get my freaking hood up and running I may not have anything to contribute, but I really would love to this again. So let me know what you guys think!!!! And thanks once again!!! Without further ado, I give you, SimSational Quarterly:

OMG! It looks wonderful! What a nice little late night surprise. Totally had me smiling the whole way. I love the Simgucci ad on the back page, and Laura's cute little black and white text ads, and Carla's two page article!
ReplyDeleteIt really came together!
I only discovered your blog yesterday, otherwise I would have contribute for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt really looks amazing!!!
Since I just found out about your blog yesterday, I really hope you can solve the problems!
Yay! That was so much fun! Everything looked wonderful, and I loved the little bit about the prosperity challenge. All the interviews were great!
ReplyDeleteThis was a lot of fun, I can't wait for the next one :)
I'm so glad you guys like it! Whew!!! If you have any ideas about what you would like to see in the next issue, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! I wish I had remembered to send you my stuff. Oh, well. Next update I will have something for you. I'm even going to write it on a post it and stick it to monitor. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks so great! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI loved the little bit about the prosperity challenge too. I never considered that what I was doing was kind of like the prosperity challenge but I guess it is! It was so fun looking at everyone else's contributions, which were all fantastic. :)
Jace will be so proud he made the cover, LOL!
Carla - it was such a great shot of Jace that I really wanted to use it! And I'm glad that you liked it!
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks so good! Hopefully next time real life will be a little less crazy with me and I can get something together for the magazine! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so late, but glad I found it! I've been busy over here. I will definitely have something to send you for the next issue.
ReplyDeleteThe whole magazine looks amazing as usual! What I loved is seeing the family businesses from a lot of my favorite neighborhoods. Everyone did a tremendous job!
how do you make one of these I want to make one for my hood different ones for real estate, one for my celebrity sims like a gossip one, and one for elections and events for the hood?
ReplyDeleteI use www.issuu.com. You'll need to put together the pages before hand, I used photoshop to do each page. I haven't done it in a while but I think the pages have to be in either .pdf or .jpeg format but the website will give you instructions on how to do it specifically. It's a lot of fun, good luck!
ReplyDeleteok i figured out how you created it but i cant figure out how to get it to show up on my blog like yours does without anyone having to click the link?
ReplyDeleteYou'll need to go to your issuu page and click on the document and click share. You want to get the embed code. Then go to your blog and do a new post. Instead of the compose tab go to the edit html tab and paste the code in. The mag should show up without a link.
ReplyDeleteim taking pics with gadwin to put into the magazine i want to make a real estate adds put in business ads and random ones for home businesses too, and i'm hoping to make a gossip magazine too. I was going to try to use picnik to edit the photos and add text where needed. hopefully mine will be as great as yours!
ReplyDeleteOh ok that's a great idea! I'm sure it'll turn out great, just go for it and have fun!
